A lot of casual talks with friends or acquaintances these times include some computer topics. As the world gets more and more drawn to information and communication technologies, I guess that is a natural development – an evolution of you want. Most of the people I talk to know or have heard, that I might be able to give them some support for whatever their computer problems are – or if they are thinking about buying a new laptop, computer or smart phone. When these discussions enter the sphere of information security, they become interesting.
Whenever pinpointing a weakness or vulnerability in their information security – we are talking here about not activated Windows updates, non-use of any anti-malware solution etc. – I ask them why they simply do not care about it. The answer is in most of the cases ‘ah well, what do they want with my data anyway?’, ‘I have nothing to hide’, ‘why should the FBI spy on me?’ or ‘if the hacker wants to download the pictures of my last holiday, he might as well do it’ and so on.
So why care about your own information security? Here are some thoughts, you might want to consider in answering that question.

CD-R King IP04166 Wireless-N Router for his Wimax and I was the one who setup the security settings of the wireless router like the wireless encryption, firewall management, making sure that WPS is disabled and setting up the username and password for logging in the web page of the Access Point(AP) .

Alright, setup is done. So if a user enters the default gateway of the access point in his/her browser he should be able to see this:

Building on top of the Windows Vista foundation, Windows 7 adds a great deal of polish and refinement to both the user interface and the underlying architecture, while at the same time introducing many new features and improvements that support new hardware, give power users and casual users alike better tools to manage their digital lives, and enable new classes of application experience.

Windows 7 is far better than previous windows versions (  Vista). The install process is plain simple and easy to follow. Big Bravo! for Microsoft for this. Now, just follow these steps and you will install windows 7.

As like with any OS installation, there are prerequisites before the installation process. When you run the Windows 7 Setup program, you must provide information about how to install and configure the operating system. Thorough planning can make your installation of Windows 7 more efficient by helping you to avoid potential problems during installation. An understanding of the configuration options will also help to ensure that you have properly configured your system.

This procedure demonstrates how to install Windows XP Professional. The most widely used Windows version is Windows XP. Most of us are used to windows XP so windows Vista and Windows 7 look quite a lot more complex, that’s why we stick with XP. Although their appearance is nice, especially their animated desktop background in ultimate version. So, the choice is yours and lets go in the Windows XP installation process.

But hey! There are lots of things to bear in mind before you do the installation process specially if you are doing the reformatting. Backup your important data before you begin this process! (If you have multiple partitions on your hard drive, data on partitions other than the system partition “except C drive” will not be affected with the following steps, but a backup is still recommended to be on the safe side). You will also have to re install all the software's you were using in your previous XP.
  • THE CONSENT OF  COMPUTER OWNER
  • WINDOWS CD INSTALLER
  • OPTICAL DRIVE
  • Before you perform the installation I recommend that you check Windows XP Compatibility List to ensure that your hardware is supported by Windows XP.

All versions of Windows XP CD are bootable. In order to boot from CD/DVD-ROM you need to set the boot sequence. Look for the boot sequence under your BIOS setup and make sure that the first boot device is set to CD/DVD-ROM. You can then perform the following steps to install Windows XP:
To inter the BIOS setup you need to press keys, either F1,F2,F10,F12,F11 and commonly DEL or delete depending on the motherboard BIOS instruction after the POST (Power On Self Test').

After you enter the BIOS Setup Screen, look for BOOT that’s where you change your Boot Priorities. Every Motherboard has it’s own boot software so your might not look like mine. To change the order of CD-ROM, try use your arrow KEYS on your keyboard and Enter key to select   the CD/DVD-ROM Drive as first boot. Some by hitting on + or - on your keyboard. Some of motherboards use F4 or F5,F5 or F6.
